We have now had our last meeting at York, the meeting was very successful and turned out to be a good sunny day. Thank you to the racers who attended and put on a good show of racing throughout the day, spectators for supporting us and the helpers who are there before during and after the meeting. Overall a massive THANK YOU goes to everyone who's helped over the year from racing at meetings, coming to spectate, organising the meetings and offering your time to help us out and do jobs, you have all made the racing year very successful even when the weather has proved to be challenging. A big thank you to all the drivers, friends and spectators who turned up today to support us on a lovely sunny day, 3 heats and finals for everyone including B finals for the juniors. Highlight of the day was 19 juniors racing in an open race for 10 laps with no flags, no incidents and all for a bottle of Coca Cola, you did your clubs and parents proud especially when their open race had to be stopped after 3 laps.

York will be racing this Sunday, gates open from 12am Saturday, scrutineering will be from 8am Sunday followed by racing at 10-30. Hopefully we will be running 3 heats and finals plus open racing if time permits all welcome and the forecast is good. Can I remind all last years trophy winners to please bring them back this weekend or get them to a committee member. Hopefully with weather permitting we will be running our reserve date of 5th October so watch this space and our face book page. See you all there.

Glad that all who attended at the weekend enjoyed something different. Unfortunately the bikes couldn't attend but we will be having them some other time. Congratulations to the super speed trap winners Rob Farrow, Paul Bulmer, Danny Wade and Graham Blackburn who amongst the entrants raised £100 for the air ambulance. Pleased the free drinks went down well in the sunshine. Shame about the weather on Sunday (which was out of our control) after such a glorious day on Saturday. Look forward to seeing you all again at our next meeting on September 21st.
