A big thank you to all the drivers, friends and spectators who turned up today to support us on a lovely sunny day, 3 heats and finals for everyone including B finals for the juniors. Highlight of the day was 19 juniors racing in an open race for 10 laps with no flags, no incidents and all for a bottle of Coca Cola, you did your clubs and parents proud especially when their open race had to be stopped after 3 laps.

York will be racing this Sunday, gates open from 12am Saturday, scrutineering will be from 8am Sunday followed by racing at 10-30. Hopefully we will be running 3 heats and finals plus open racing if time permits all welcome and the forecast is good. Can I remind all last years trophy winners to please bring them back this weekend or get them to a committee member. Hopefully with weather permitting we will be running our reserve date of 5th October so watch this space and our face book page. See you all there.

Glad that all who attended at the weekend enjoyed something different. Unfortunately the bikes couldn't attend but we will be having them some other time. Congratulations to the super speed trap winners Rob Farrow, Paul Bulmer, Danny Wade and Graham Blackburn who amongst the entrants raised £100 for the air ambulance. Pleased the free drinks went down well in the sunshine. Shame about the weather on Sunday (which was out of our control) after such a glorious day on Saturday. On behalf of York Autograss Club we would like to thank our members for their support along with members from other clubs and even non-members for their huge help at our recent North of England's meeting. The weather proved challenging however did improve on Monday and we had some good heats and finals, topped off by the exceptional champion of champs races with Paul Watson winning the men's and Clare Horner winning the ladies. York Autograss club will be holding the North of England championships on Sunday 25th & Monday 26th May Proudly sponsored by Beaucare Medical Gates will open on Saturday 24th at 9am. ( Not Friday. ) It is one meeting over 2 days. Entrance fee is £20 per person, oap,s £10 and children under 16 free. Signing on fee £5 for the weekend in aid of YORKSHIRE CANCER CENTRE, LEEDS. Free camping. Juniors please pay gate fee at signing on. Saturday there will be a bar open from 5 till 12 with a disco. Sunday there is the bar with a disco and karaoke. Beer, lager and cider is £2.50 a pint or 5 pints for £10.
